District Band Results

Congratulations to Logan Cain for making 1st Chair in District Jazz Band and 1st Chair Mallets in District Concert Band(he’s also 1st chair in Buhler’s Wind Ensemble).

The KT’s (that’s Kaitlin and Kylee Tucker) also made District Concert Band!

Alumni Achievements

Past students of the Professional Drum School have gone on to pursue fulfilling musical careers.  Here are some highlights.

Eric Nelson

After studying with Ginger, Eric joined Martina McBride’s band in the early 1990′s.

Shane Nickels

Shane, having studied with Ginger, joined the Troopers and Blue Coats Drum & Bugles corps, studied at Kanas University where he later became a Graduate Teaching Assistant, and is currently on scholarship at the University of Southern California.

Sam Hake

Sam is currently a performing drummer around the Wichita area and helps with the instrumental music program at Collegiate School.

Kim and Kurt Garey

Siblings Kim and Kurt Garey studied with Ginger and then Dr. J.C. Combs at Wichita State University.  Since then, they have moved to the New York City area and are active gigging musicians throughout the new York area.

John Parker

After studying with Ginger, John Parker studied percussion with Anthony DiSanza and Dennis Wilson at Kansas State Univeristy.  Now he is a freelance drummer and educator in the Wichita area.
